Piccadilly released plastic bags for rent for the first time in Bulgaria

Piccadilly started to offer “plastic bags for rent” for the first time in Bulgaria. The single-use polidegralex bags will be sold for 5 stotinki but all clients of Piccadilly will be able to return them in the supermarket and to get back the money they have spent for them. This way Piccadilly allows its customers to “rent” a single-use bag and to decide whether to return it for recycling in the store or to throw it away with the risk to pollute the environment. The new initiative of Piccadilly was presented at a special event organised by V Consulting. Nona Karadjova the Minister of Environment and Water supported the initiative and returned the first bag for recycling in Piccadilly supermarket in Serdika Center.
